At Robert Hall, we believe great wine starts in the vineyard-and that caring for the land is just as important as crafting what’s in the bottle. That philosophy comes to life through the leadership of Robert Hall Winemaker, Amanda Gorter, whose deep agricultural roots and passion for regenerative farming guide every step of our winemaking process.
Since beginning her winemaking journey in 2013, Amanda has risen from intern to Director of Winemaking at O’Neill Vintners & Distillers, a decade-long path that reflects her dedication, expertise, and hands-on approach. As a fifth-generation member of a California agricultural family, Amanda grew up surrounded by farming, Her lifelong connection to the land continues to drive her commitment to sustainability and regenerative practices at every level of our operation.
Amanda brings this deeply rooted connection to the land to her work on the Central Coast, where she leads our team with a hands-on approach, ensuring every bottle at Robert Hall reflects the bold character of Paso Robles fruit. Her commitment begins in our 170 acres of diverse vineyards, where sites are carefully selected and cultivation is cutting-edge, and carries this through every stage of the winemaking process.
