In the early 1990’s Robert Hall looked out over the land of Paso Robles and saw something only few did: the makings of America’s next great wine region. Robert wasn’t chasing a trend or playing it safe, he was dreaming big, shoulder to shoulder with other Paso pioneers who believed in this land as much as they believed in themselves.
Robert pictured more than a winery, he envisioned a home for wine and craft that honored the land, grit, and tradition. A 19,000-square-foot cave carved in the ground to home thousands of oak barrels, a 173-acre estate and vineyard – wildly ambitious ideas for a place that had yet to be discovered as a growing, globally-recognized wine region. But that was Robert. He opened the doors in 1999, proving that bold vision paired with relentless work ethic could reshape a landscape.
