Gold Medal - 2017 Monterey Wine Competition
Featuring pear, apple and peach aromas with a suggestion of vanilla spice, our 2016 Chardonnay is a bright straw- gold color. Rich from barrel fermentation and aging, this wine shows peach, pear and butterscotch flavors. The wine is round, medium-bodied with balancing acidity and toasty oak that lengthens the finish.
The intense dark ruby red color of the Cabernet Sauvignon is reflective of this full-bodied, flavorful wine. The core of black currant and hints of cedar and spice along with cocoa aromas echoed by rich persistent flavors of plush ripe fruit, dark chocolate and anise are all supported by balanced rich velvety tannins.

A well-structured wine expressing compelling nuances of ripe blackberry and cocoa with a touch of smoke and spice. The deep dark ruby-red color hints at the opulent fruit flavors of blackberry, plum and black cherry which lead to a rich, mouth-watering finish.

"A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 1% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot and sporting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2014 Cavern Select Cabernet Sauvignon has a cedar and pencil lead-laced nose with a core of black currants, black plums and blackberry preserves plus hints of Mediterranean herbs and forest floor. Full-bodied, with a good core of vibrant black fruit and herbal nuances, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and a good long finish with a bit of wood poking through."

Rich aromas of ripe black cherry accentuated by hints of cedar emanate from our 2015 Merlot. Lush, ruby-red color indicates the level of concentration yielded by the vintage and the vineyards. On the palate, rich flavors mirror the aromas and are complemented by soft, silky tannins on the finish.
This fortified dessert wine is indeed Margret's gold. Toasted hazel nuts and stewed peach aromas tantalize the nose while notes of dried apricot, orange zest and butterscotch delight the tongue. A limited number of barrels of estate-grown Orange Muscat were selected beginning with the 2001 vintage. The barrels were blend to create this Madeira style wine. Enjoy with caramelized onions, blue cheese, nuts and dried fruit.
The 2016 Cavern Select Dusi Zinfandel is a medium to full bodied wine with aromas and flavors of white pepper, blackberries, baking spice, and dried herbs. The wines’ rich mouthfeel and balanced acidity followed by dusty tannins on the finish. Serve with cheese & charcuterie, fresh pastas with mushrooms and herbs, and roasted lamb.
