Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Featuring apple and peach aromas with a suggestion of vanilla spice, our 2017
Chardonnay is a bright straw-gold color. Rich from barrel fermentation and aging,
this wine shows poached pear and butterscotch flavors. The wine is round;
medium-bodied with balancing acidity and toasty oak that lengthens the finish.
Production Notes
This wine is 100% barrel fermented in French and American oak barrels - 25% new.
Aged sur lie for 6 month
Winemaker Notes
The 2017 vintage began with above average rainfall as the Paso Robles area began
to rebound from drought. The wet start was followed by average temperatures that
lasted through June. Higher than average winds during bloom affected fruit set in
some areas of Paso Robles.
